Our Trip to China
我們中國之行
In 1984, Leon and I went back to China together for the first time. We gave a series of lectures in our respective fields, visited my hometown in Shanyang, and saw relatives whom I had not seen in 36 years. Many were no longer around, and many were new. My childhood home was now occupied by strangers. It was once a renowned compound at the center of Shenyang City and was now changed beyond recognition.
