In 1982, as a high school senior, Frank aimed at going to Princeton University, because Albert Einstein had been there. We suggested that he also apply to MIT. Unexpectedly, MIT rejected Frank, citing that his interests were too narrow, being limited to mathematics. Frank was happy to go to Princeton. The following year, Mark was accepted into MIT as a double major in mathematics and physics. They flew up and out, leaving an empty bedroom in our home.
