Soon after having our second baby in 1966, I visited the New York state capital city of Albany Urban Renewal Office to get some planning reports in order to learn about the area where our new home was located. When the office clerk found out that I was a city planner, the whole office was excited. The renewal director immediately offered me a job as an advisor/consultant. I was able to work at home and take care of my two babies with some help from a babysitter.
