In 1998, Cindy received her academic degrees: Harvard MD and PhD and Certificate from the Harvard-MIT elite program: Health Sciences & Technology. After five years of dating Steven Chao, who was studying under the same MD-PhD program, Cindy married him in Memorial Church at Harvard University. Her wedding reception was held at MIT. Leon said, “Our three children all have their own families and we have a grandson,” and for the second time, he added: “My life is complete.”
