Frank’s Awakening
友恒的覺醒
Frank told me that he would pretend to be a smart kid in the new school when we moved into our bigger house. In his sixth grade, he started to participate in class activities. Once labeled as a “retarded” child, he was ahead in his class for the first time since kindergarten. He learned algebra by himself in the summer after the seventh grade and skipped into geometry in the fall. He began to enter and win math and science competitions. Frank’s awakening was a joy beyond words to us.
